Inktober 2019

Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits.

Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online. Many of the artists post on Instagram using the hashtag #inktober so that their pictures can be seen by others who are participating in the challenge.

I took part in the 2019 inktober challenges as a way to do more drawing. I produced a selection of work which enabled me to try ink washes, pencil, and different types of pen as well as drawing a wide variety of subjects. Some of my instagram followers’ favourites are currently available as prints in my store, but if there’s one you like that isn’t currently available as a print, why not drop me a line? If there’s enough interest I’ll get it printed.
